Not necessarily. Many Chinese universities offer English-taught programs, especially at the master's and PhD levels. However, knowing Chinese will greatly enhance your daily life experience and future career opportunities. We offer HSK training courses for all levels.
Costs vary by university, program, and city. Generally, tuition ranges from $2,000 to $8,000 USD per year, and living expenses are approximately $3,000 to $6,000 USD per year. Many scholarships are available to cover partial or full costs. Contact us for a detailed cost estimate.
The main scholarships include the Chinese Government Scholarship (full scholarship), university-specific merit scholarships, and Confucius Institute Scholarships. The full process typically takes 6-9 months from initial assessment to departure. We recommend starting at least one year before your intended intake. For September intake, applications usually open in September-October of the previous year and close by March-April.
HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) is the standardized Chinese language proficiency test. It is often required for admission to Chinese-taught programs and some scholarships. English-taught programs may not require HSK. We offer HSK preparation courses from Level 1 to Level 6.
CSCA (Chinese Scholarship Council Assessment) is an evaluation for students applying for certain Chinese government scholarships and undergraduate programs. It assesses academic knowledge and overall suitability. We offer comprehensive CSCA preparation courses. Requirements are subject to official annual guidelines.
